5) Check that there is no toner remaining inside. If there is, lightly tap
the cartridge until it falls into the toner box.
6) Remove the toner cartridge by sliding it back and lifting out.
7) Repeat steps 1 through 6 for each toner color. Dispose of it ac-
cording to local regulations.
CAUTION: Do not place toner or the toner cartridge in or near open
flames. The toner may splatter and cause burns. Also,
always keep toner out of reach of children.
(4) Installing the Drum Cartridge
1) Remove the new drum cartridge from its bag.
2) Hold the new drum cartridge by its handles with the lock levers
facing towards you.

3) Slide the guides on both sides of the drum into the grooves on the
inside walls of the printer. Gently push the drum cartridge into
place until it is firmly seated.
4) Push the lock levers on both sides of the drum cartridge upwards
and lock the drum in place.
5) Carefully remove the black protective paper from the drum surface
of the drum cartridge. Be sure not to leave any torn pieces of
paper in the printer.
6) Close the top rear cover.
