Installing SFP or SFP+ Transceivers in the AT-SBx31CFC960 Card

166
The AT-SBx31CFC960 Controller Fabric Card has four slots for
1000Mbps SFP or 10Gbps SFP+ transceivers. The transceivers can be
used for high-speed links to network servers, switches, routers, or other
network devices. A list of supported SFP and SFP+ transceivers is
available on the Allied Telesis web site.
To install SFP or SFP+ transceivers in the controller card, perform the
following procedure:
1. Remove the dust plug from the slot chosen for the transceiver.
Figure 106 shows the dust plug being removed from SFP+ slot 0.

SBx31CFC960 Controller Fabric Card
Note
Do not remove a dust plug from a transceiver slot if you are not
installing a transceiver at this time. A dust plug protects the line card
from dust contamination.
2. If you are installing the transceiver in slot 0 or 2, orient it with the
handle on top, as shown in Figure 107 on page 167. To install it into
slot 1 or 3, orient it with the handle on the bottom
