Remove or Disconnect (Figure 7)
Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
Heat shield (Figure 3).
Clamps at the front and rear of the converter.

3. Converter pipe-to-front-exhaust pipe and converter
pipe-to-rear-exhaust pipe.
Install or Connect (Figure 7)

Apply sealer 9985020 or equivalent at the slip joint
connection.
New catalytic converter into the exhaust pipe.

New U-bolts and clamps at the front and rear of the

converter.
Check for clearance and alignment.
Tighten
• Clamps and support to 40 N»m (30 ft. lbs.).
3. Heat shield (Figure 3).

Lower the vehicle.
