Disabling the ADF Skew Fix feature
The ADF Skew Fix feature automatically adjusts pages that are not fed into the ADF straight. Disable this feature
in the Copy menu to prevent it from interfering with your mechanical adjustments.
1.
From the home screen, navigate to:
Menus > Copy Settings > ADF Skew Fix > Off > Submit

Turn the feature off, and save the setting.
Note: When you finish adjusting the scanner, return ADF Skew Fix to its original setting.

Verifying skew

To check for skew after replacing scanner-related FRUs, print the Registration Quick Test page and copy it.
Note: If the printer menus do not match the following instructions, then contact your next level of support.
1.
Enter the Diagnostics menu: turn off the printer, press and hold 3 and 6, turn on the printer, and then
release the buttons when the splash screen appears.

Navigate to:
REGISTRATION > Quick Test
The alignment marks and triangles on the printed page should be parallel to the edges of the paper. If they
are not, then the base printer is causing skew and should be adjusted before you can verify flatbed or ADF
skew.
3.
If you replaced an assembly in the ADF, then load the test page in the ADF. Otherwise, place it on the
flatbed scanner.
