[3] STOPPING SYSTEM

(1) Checking

Field Coil
1. Check the continuity across the lead (1) and brush (2) with an
ohmmeter.
2. If it does not conduct, replace the yoke assembly.
3. Check the continuity across the brush (2) and yoke (3) with an
ohmmeter.
4. If it conducts, replace the yoke assembly.
Lead (1) – Brush (2)
Resistance
Brush (2) – Yoke (3)
(1) Lead
(2) Brush
Key Stop Relay
1. Refer to the PTO relay checking for STARTING SYSTEM. (See
page 9-S17.)
