Handling the "Recalibrate the scanner" Message
Operator's Guide
Scantron normally recommends calibrating the scanner
only upon initial setup or under the guidance of a
Scantron Customer Support Representative. However,
there are certain situations where you may get an error
message, similar to the one below, recommending that you
recalibrate the scanner.
The possible causes of this error message are:
•
If calibration was unsuccessful.
•
If you aborted the installation procedure before cali-
bration was completed.
•
If you moved the scanner to a new host computer.
•
If you swapped out your defective scanner for a new
one.
If one of these conditions applies to you, you will need to
recalibrate the scanner. To do this, follow the procedure
below:
1.
Select StartProgramsScantroniNSIGHT 30
Scanner UtilitiesCalibration Utility.
2.
Go to the section entitled "Step 1: Calibrate Your
iNSIGHT 30" on page 51, and follow the procedure
there to recalibrate the scanner.
