• Security. Place the scanner in as permanent and as
secure a location as possible. Move the scanner as
infrequently as possible.
• Space. Find a location that allows you plenty of work-
ing surface around the scanner. See "Scanner Hard-
ware Features" on page 3 for information on the
scanner's size.
• Temperature. Place the scanner in an environment
that ranges between 60° and 85° Fahrenheit. Improper
temperature conditions can cause the scanner to read
sheets incorrectly.
