Installing and Replacing the Ink Blotter Strips

Operator's Guide
Two ink blotter strips in the scanner transport area collect
ink overflow. To order additional ink blotter strips, see
"Supplies and Consumables" on page 76.
1.
Lift up the scanner cover release to unlatch the scan-
ner cover.
2.
Pull up to open the scanner cover.
3.
Locate the two channels in the rear of the transport
area.
These channels are where the blotter strips will be
installed.
If you are replacing a blotter strip, go to step 4.
If you are installing a blotter strip for the first time, go
to step 5.
