17.4 Replacing the seat adjustment actuator motor (without lifter
module)
17.4.1
Disassembly
•
Loosen all cable connections from the
vehicle seat, remove the quick-release bolt
(1), unlock the rear seat fastening pull-catch
and remove the seat frame.
•
Remove the battery boxes (2) and chassis
central cover (3).
•
Pull the actuator motor plug from the
connector socket and cut the cable binders
by which the cable is attached to the frame.
•
Loosen and remove the lower fastening
screw (4) and the hexagon nut (5).
•
Push the bush sideways through the
fastening angles (6) and remove the
actuator motor.
17.4.2 Reassembly
•
Lead the new actuator motor between the
fastening angles and reinsert the bush
sideways. Fasten the actuator motor by
tightening the lower fastening screw (4) and
the hexagon nut (5).
•
Lead the motor cable to the connector board
and put the plug into the socket. Here, care
is to be taken that the cable cannot get
pinched during operation.
•
Fasten the cables again by means of cable
binders.
•
Reposition the seating frame again and fix
the actuator motor to the seating frame
using the quick-release bolt.
•
Now mount again the battery boxes (2) and
the chassis central cover (3).
•
Carry out a performance test.
Caution:
The hexagon nut (5) is self-locking and
is not reusable.
