12.2 Splash protection for modules

12.2.1 Disassembly of "Standard" splash
protection
Detach seating unit from vehicle
See "Twister/Twister Junior" Operating
Manual, chapter "Disassembling for
Transport".
The central chassis covering (1) and the
side covering(s) (2) are just inserted and
can be detached by pulling slightly upwards.
12.2.2 Reassembly of "Standard" splash
protection
Reassembly takes place in the reverse
order.
12.2.3 Disassembly of the "Lifter" spray
protection
Raise lifter to top of travel.
Take out batteries.
The side coverings (2) are just inserted and
can be detached by pulling slightly upwards.
To take off the chassis central covering (1)
of a vehicle with lifter, loosen the recessed
head screws (3) on each side of the
chassis. For complete removal of the
chassis central covering, the lifter module
must be removed. For more information,
see chapter 13.
Note:
For testing procedures on the drive electronics and the modules, or for the
conversion from front wheel drive to rear wheel drive and vice-versa it would be
advisable to tie the chassis central covering (1) up. You could, for example, use a
cable binder at the spring connector (4) on the attachment for the motor or on the
tube used to adjust the seat tilt.
On the Twister Junior, the central covering is also merely push-fitted. After the lifter
has been raised and the batteries have been removed, the covering can be raised
and tied up.
If the central covering is to be completely removed, the Junior seat system must be
first removed. For more information, see chapter 11.9.

12.2.4 Reassembly of "Lifter" splash protection

Reassembly takes place in the reverse order.
Caution:
Before using the central covering, it is essential to ensure that the cables from the
power module are correctly located and fixed, so that the covering can be put in
place without damaging any cables.
