12.4.1 Dismounting the drive unit

Note:
Please refer to the Twister Junior operating manual, "Breaking down for transport"
Unclamp joystick box and electronics from the seat.
Remove batteries.
Remove splash protection. See also chapter:12.2
Dismount drive wheels completely with wheel hubs. See also chapter:12.3.3
For easier dismounting, the chassis can now be placed on its side on a base that should not
be too soft.
Remove caps (1).
Remove hexagon head screw (2) with washers (3).
Loosen hexagon head screw (4).
Turn the steering wheel mounted to the frame tube (6) outwards.
Displace the frame tube (6) in lengthwise direction and detach from the main frame (12).
Pull off the motor connection plug from the control module and cut with side cutting pliers
the cable binder by which the control cable is attached to the main frame.
Remove cheese head Allen screws (10) and countersunk Allen screws (9) and detach
motor and distance place from the main frame (12).
Note:
In a vehicle with rear wheel drive, the guide tube for the anti-tip mechanism is mounted
between the motor (15) and the tube frame (6) instead of the distance plate (11).

12.4.2 Mounting the drive unit

Reassembly takes place in the reverse order.
Caution:
After mounting, check the function of the disengaging mechanics and readjust if
necessary. For more information please see chapter 12.5.2.
Make sure after mounting that no movable parts such as rods and screw connections
rub against the motor housing.
Carry out a performance test.
Note:
When mounting the frame tube / the frame tubes, attention must be paid to an identical
position of the frame tubes at the main frame.
Reattach the control cable to the main frame by means of new cable binders.
