12.3.2 Reassembly of drive wheels and tyres
•
Pump up inner tube (5) a little until round
•
Place inner tube (5) into the outer cover (6) and place the two rim halves (4, 7) from the
outside into the outer cover (6).
Note:
the recesses in the wheel rim halves must enclose the valve.
Ensure that the inner tube is not caught between the wheel rim halves.
•
Insert the Allen screws (9), tighten cross wise step by step, and finally tighten by means of a
torque wrench (25-30 Nm).
•
Pump tyres up to full pressure (2.5 bar) and screw on valve cap
•
Place wheel onto the hub (8), screw in Allen screws (3) and tighten cross wise.
Note:
Do not lubricate the Allen screws (3) under any circumstances.
During factory assembly they are inserted with "Plasbolt" and can be
dismantled/reassembled up to 6 times.
At the seventh reassembly at the latest the bolts must be cleaned and then smeared
with "Loctite".
12.3.3 Dismounting of the wheel hubs
•
Engage motor
•
Place the vehicle on its side on some form of padding so that the drive wheel to be removed
is on top, or use a suitable support such as a wooden block to prop up the vehicle so that
the drive wheels are not loaded.
•
Loosen countersunk screw (1) with cover (2) and pull drive wheel complete with wheel hub
(8) off the drive motor (the axle has a feather key fitted).
Note:
When detaching the wheel hub (8), do not lose the feather key in the gear shaft.
