15.4 Disassembling / checking rear lights

15.4.1 Disassembling rear lamps

Loosen slotted screw (1) up to the point where the rear bulb (2) can be taken out of the
housing (4). While doing this, ensure that the nut is not lost.
Remove the bulb (3) from the holder.

15.4.2 Checking the rear lights

Check using the Multimeter the voltage located between the contact (7) of the headlight
housing (- terminal) and the black cable (+ terminal) at the bulb socket (6).
Voltage U in:
6 km/h wheelchair
10 km/h wheelchair (abroad)
10 km/h wheelchair (Deutschland) U = 12 V
Insert new light bulb (3).
Type of bulb:
6 km/h wheelchair
10 km/h wheelchair (abroad)
10 km/h wheelchair (Deutschland) = 12 V / 5 W
Check condition of the rubber grommet. If it is defective, there is a danger of short circuit.
Check the condition of the connection between the spring washer (5) and the bulb holder
(9). In case of corrosion both pieces must be replaced.
Caution:
Avoid bridging the poles whatever happens. Danger of fire and combustion !

15.4.3 Reassembly of rear lights

Reinsert the light bulb (3) into its socket.
Mount the rear bulb glass (2).
Attach the rear bulb glass (2) using the slotted screw (1).
Note:
The lug below in the housing (4) must locate in the recess at the bottom of the rear light
glass (2).
