15.6 Disassembling headlight / direction indicator unit completely
The four lighting units of the vehicle consist on each side of one direction indicator and the
headlight in front, and of one direction indicator and the rear bulb in the back.

Note:
•
The headlight bulb is supplied with voltage via the bulb holder (positive terminal) and
a separate earth cable. The bulb holder contacts the contact spring in the headlight
housing. The earth cable is pinched against the bulb socket.
•
The direction indicator bulb is provided with voltage via a twin-wire cable. The wires
are soldered to the bulb socket.
15.6.1 Disassembling the headlight
•
Loosen completely tapping screw (7) and detach headlight glass (13).
•
Remove the bulb base (not illustrated) from the headlight glass (13) and unscrew the bulb
(not illustrated).
•
If necessary, pull earth wire (4) out of the bulb socket and remove socket.
•
Loosen completely nut (15) and detach headlight housing (14) with washers from bulb
holder (1).
15.6.2 Reassembly of the headlight
•
Reassembly takes place in the reverse order.
