12.6 Anti-tip mechanism

The anti-tip mechanism prevents that the vehicle with rear wheel drive tips over backwards
when accelerating on an ascent.
Caution:
In vehicles with rear wheel drive, the installation of the anti-tip mechanism
1. Transverse tube
2. Bush rd. 0.95 x 31.5
3. Guide tube for anti-tip device
4. Support wheel
5. Slider
6. Washer 8.4 x 17 x 1.6
7. Cheese head Allen screw

12.6.1 Disassembly of the anti-tip mechanism

The drive unit must be removed before disassembling the anti-tip mechanism. See chapter
12.4.1.
Loosen the cheese head screws (7)
Remove the support wheels (4) with bushes (2) and washers (6).
If necessary, remove sliders (5).
12.6.2 Disassembly of the anti-tip mechanism
Check the support wheels for damage, replace, if necessary.
Check the guide tubes for deformations, replace, if necessary.
12.6.3 Disassembly of the anti-tip mechanism
Reassembly takes place in the reverse order.
Note:
When converting from rear to front wheel drive, the anti-tip mechanism must be replaced by
suitable spacers. See Item 11 in chapter 12.4.
