RANDOM PITCHED BANDING:

SYMPTOM:
As shown in the illustration, random-pitched banding appearing at random intervals .
CAUSE:
Toner drops out from the development unit onto the
OPC grounding brush, preventing the OPC belt from
being properly grounded.
SOLUTION:
Clean the grounding brush by inserting a sheet of paper
between the brush and OPC belt. Then, clean any
dropped toner in and around the PCU with a vacuum
or cotton cloth, being very careful not to damage
the OPC surface.
