Directions for the operation of the telephone system
•
This ISDN telephone system has been designed for use at ISDN connections
according to Euro ISDN protocol DSS1. Use with other connections will lead to
malfunctions.
•
The integrated DSL router is compatible with DSL modems using PPPoE (point-
to-point protocol over Ethernet) or PPTP (point-to-point tunnelling protocol).
•
This ISDN telephone system has been designed and manufactured in accor-
dance with "Information Technology Equipment Safety" standard (EN 60950).
Only devices complying with this or an equivalent directive may be connected to
this ISDN telephone system.
•
Installation work must be carried out by a professional. Installation work on 230 V
mains network must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Installation must be
carried our in compliance with VDE 0100.
•
In case of any malfunction, please disconnect the unit from the line and remove
all ISDN connection cables.
•
The ISDN telephone system may not be installed and operated in the following
environments:
o
outdoor
o
in damp or wet rooms (bathroom, shower, swimming pool ...)
o
in surroundings prone to danger of explosion
o
in locations exposed to direct sunlight
o
at ambient temperatures below 0 °C or above 40 °C
o
where exposed to strong vibrations
o
in dusty areas
•
In order to avoid any danger of tripping please lay the connecting cables care-
fully. The connecting cables must not be subjected to excessive pulling or bend-
ing or mechanical loading. All connecting cables must be used indoor only.
