Select the radio button that specifies the network layout of the access points, and click Next.
Same L2 network - directly or via backend L2 switch. Discover all access points
on the LAN that are in the same IP subnet and are connected to the wireless
controller either directly or through a back-end Layer 2 switch.
Different L3 networks - different VLANs or behind IP subnets. Discover access
points that are in different IP subnets and that are connected to the wireless controller
through a router.

If prompted, fill in the Start IP and End IP fields to specify a range of IP addresses in which
the wireless controller should discover access points:

Optional step: Click Add to add an additional IP address range for the wireless controller to
search in. You can add a maximum of three IP ranges. You can search a maximum of
255 IP addresses at a time. (Do several searches if you have access points in several
networks.)
