Configuring BcmAmp

BcmAmp is an audio player that resides on the Business Communications Manager. If you choose
to use BcmAmp, you must configure the play list, which is the music available to BcmAmp.
Configuring the play list involves:
"Opening the BcmAmp Administration application" on page 607
"Loading music onto the Business Communications Manager" on page 607
"Deleting music from Business Communications Manager" on page 608
"Loading music onto the Business Communications Manager" on page 607

Opening the BcmAmp Administration application

To open the BcmAmp Administration application:

On the navigation tree, click the Services key and click the IP Music heading.
The Summary screen appears.

On the Tools menu, click BcmAmp Ctl.
A log on screen appears.

In the User Name box, enter the user name you use to log on to Unified Manager.

In the Password box, enter the password you use to log on to Unified Manager.

Click the OK button.
The BcmAmp Administration screen appears.

Loading music onto the Business Communications Manager

Before you can add music to the play list, you must the load the music track onto the Business
Communications Manager.

Start the BcmAmp Administration application.

Click the File Manager heading.
A list of audio files already on the Business Communications Manager appears, along with a
form for uploading new files.

Click the Browse button.

Navigate to the folder that contains the sound file you want to load.

Click on the sound file and then click Open.
The sound file must be a .wav or .au file format.
The path for the sound file appears in the Upload box.
