6.6.4 Checking the communication status
The communication status can be displayed in order to see if serial port communication is being
performed normally.
[Line Monitor] and [Packet Monitor] are available to display the communication status.

- For the sentence format, refer to "6.7 External input/output sentence format in Installation
manual."
- When communication statuses are displayed on multiple equipment units through one port, and
any of the equipment unit stopped monitoring, monitoring has stopped by all the equipment
units. In this case, restart monitoring.
Line Monitor
1.
Click on the [Monitor] button of the enabled serial port to display the "Monitor"
dialog box.

Monitoring will be started. If communication is being performed, the communication data is
displayed in the [Input Data] and [Output Data] areas.
To save the monitoring data in a log file, select the [Log] check box, and then click on the [Start]
button. A dialog box is displayed for selecting the file to be saved.
Displays the serial port communication data.
Displays the LAN communication status between the SLC/ALC and this equipment.
(Only for SLC/ALC serial ports)
Click on the [Start] button to start monitoring.
