Toe-out adjustment
1. Place the machine on a level surface.
2. Check:
S Ski toe-out
Point the skis forward.
Out of specification ! Adjust.
Ski toe-out ( a – c ):
0 X 15 mm (0 X 0.59 in)
Ski stance b (center to center):
960 mm (37.8 in)
3. Adjust:
S Ski toe-out
Adjustment steps:
S Loosen the locknuts (tie-rod) 1 .
S Turn the tie-rod 2 in or out until the specified
toe-out is obtained.
S Tighten the locknuts (tie-rod) 1 .
Locknut (rod end):
25 Nm (2.5 mSkg, 18 ftSlb)
LOCTITE
CAUTION:
After tightening the inside and outside ball
joint locknut 1 , make sure the tie-rod 2 can
be rotated freely through the ball joint travel.
If not, loosen the locknut 1 and re-position
the ball joint so that the tie-rod 2 can be ro-
tated freely. Tighten the locknut to specifica-
tion.
