DRIVE CHAIN HOUSING
3. Inspect:
S Shift forks 1
On the gear and shift cam contact surfaces.
Wear/chafing/bends/damage ! Replace.
4. Check:
S Shift fork movement
On its guide bar.
Unsmooth operation ! Replace fork and/or
guide bar.
5. Inspect:
S Shift cam grooves 1
Wear/damage/scratches ! Replace.
S Shift cam segment
Damage/wear ! Replace.
S Stopper ball 2
Damage/wear ! Replace.
6. Inspect:
S Gears
Damage/wear ! Replace.
7. Check:
S Gear movement
Unsmooth operation ! Replace.
8. Inspect:
S Mating dogs
Cracks/wear/damage ! Replace.
9. Inspect:
S Splines
Damage ! Replace.
10. Inspect:
S Drive select lever 1
S Shift rod 2
Wear/damage ! Replace.
