CHARGING SYSTEM

BATTERY

Inspection
1. Inspect:
S Battery fluid level
Below lower level ! Refill.
1 Upper level
2 Lower level
2. Check:
S Specific gravity
Less than 1.280 ! Recharge battery.
Battery Storage
The battery should be stored if the vehicle is not
to be used for a long period.
1. Remove:
S Battery
Battery storage and maintenance tips:
S Recharge the battery periodically.
S Store the battery in a cool, dry place.
S Recharge the battery before reinstalling.

CHARGING COIL

1. Measure:
S Charging coil resistance
Out of specification ! Replace.
Charging coil resistance:
(White – Black)
0.4 Ω
7-26
ELEC
Specific gravity: 1.280
at 20_C (68_F)
1.6 Amp for 10 hours
(new battery)
10 hours (or until specific
gravity reaches 1.280)
Distilled water
(to maximum level line)
Check once per month
(or more often as required)
20% at 20_ (68_F)
