Each Peripheral Unit has one peripheral switch controller
(PSC) card and one Fiber Interface Module (FIM). The
PSC card provides control for all peripheral interface
cards, and the FIM provides a fiber-optic connection to
the 3300 controller.
The following peripheral interface cards can be installed
in Peripheral Units (some cards are only available in
specific countries):

• ONS CLASS/CLIP Line Card
• ONS Line Card
• E&M Tie Trunk Card
