Probable Causes
Java version is not
correct. OR
Higher version of Java
is installed.
Backup/restore applet
is not trusted
(identity.obj not on
PC).
Backup/restore applet
is not trusted
(identity.obj not in right
directory.
Corrective Action
1.
Verify which version of
Java is installed (must be
1.3.1).
2.
If another version is
installed, remove it,
re-install the correct
version, and reboot the
PC.

Go to the Backup or
Restore form in ESM
(Maintenance and
Diagnostics).
2.
Click the link to
download the
identity.obj file to the
Maintenance PC. Save
the file in:
For Windows NT:
WINNT/Profile/
<username>.
For Windows 2000:
Documents and
Settings/<username>
Verify the file is in the
correct <username>
profile (the profile
used to log on the
PC).
