When the ALM LED turns ON or flashes

When the ALM LED turns ON or flashes, check the following items:
When the ALM LED turns ON
Check item
Has CH Alert flag turned ON?
When the ALM LED flashes
Check item
Has the temperature process value (PV) exceeded
the temperature measuring range set as the input
range?
Is there a channel where no temperature sensor has
been connected?
Has a loop disconnection been detected?

When the HBA LED turns ON

When the HBA LED turns ON, check the following items:
Check item
Has a heater disconnection been detected? (Has
b12 of CH Alert definition turned ON?)
Has an output off-time current error been detected?
(Has b14 of CH Alert definition turned ON?)

3.1 Checks Using LEDs
Corrective action
Check CH Alert definition and take the appropriate corrective action. ( Page 230 CH1 Alert
definition)
Corrective action
Change the setting value of CH Input range to a value within the temperature measuring range to be
used. ( Page 254 CH1 Input range)
Set the channel where no temperature sensor has been connected to Unused in "Unused channel
setting" of "Application Setting." ( Page 259 CH1 Unused channel setting)
Check for a load disconnection, externally-operable device failure, and sensor disconnection.

• Check the heater has been powered ON.
• Check for a load disconnection and externally-operable device failure.
