Notes: How to Lead In the Carriage Drive Wire
(same procedure for the front and rear)
1. Wind the carriage drive wire around the
wire drive pulley.
2. Set the wire drive shaft on which the wire
drive pulley is attached on the upper unit
while passing the carriage drive wire
through the opening in the upper unit, and
attach the bearings (front and rear) and
stop rings (front and rear).
Note: Take care to prevent the carriage
drive wire from becoming scratched.
3. Rewind the wire on which the tension
spring is attached on the paper exit side
pulley from the bottom to the top, and fit
in the wire holder jig (Small). Next, re-
wind on pulley 2 on carriage 2 from the
bottom to the top.
