Removing the Developer or Fixer Heater

For this procedure the processor must be deenergized. See page 1-7. In addition, the
FEED-END, MIDDLE and the DRIVE SIDE ACCESS PANELS must be removed from the
processor. See pages 1-3 through 1-5 for instructions, if necessary.

Either—
(a)
Drain the DEVELOPER and/or FIXER TANK by opening the DEVELOPER and/or FIXER DRAIN
VALVES on the FEED END of the processor or,
(b)
Place CLAMP TL-2170 on the DEVELOPER or FIXER TUBES leading to and from the
THERMOWELL.

Disconnect DEVELOPER HEATER CONNECTOR P8 or FIXER HEATER CONNECTOR P6 from the
ELECTRICAL BOX.

Remove the HEATER from the THERMOWELL.
[4]
Check that the HEATER LOCATOR is positioned in the THERMOWELL 13.9 cm (5.5 in.) from the end
opposite the HEATER.
Overtightening of the HEATER may cause damage to the THERMOWELL.

To install the new HEATER, use SILASTIC SEALANT RTV 102 TL-3230 or equivalent. Tighten by hand
plus 1/2 turn.

Make the necessary connections.

Remove CLAMPS TL-2170.

IMPORTANT
A small amount of DEVELOPER or FIXER will spill.
