Removing the Buck/Boost Transformer

For this procedure the processor must be deenergized. See page 1-7. In addition, the
FEED-END, LOWER ACCESS PANEL must be removed from the processor. See pages 1-3
through 1-5 for instructions, if necessary.

Move the WALL POWER SWITCH to the
''OFF'' position. Attach the MAGNETIC
POWER WARNING SIGN, TL-1926, to the
wall power switch indicating that the processor
is being serviced.

Move the MAIN CIRCUIT BREAKER CB1 and
AUXILIARY CIRCUIT BREAKERS CB2, CB3,
and CB4 to the ''O'' position.
IMPORTANT
Label each of the 8 WIRES as it is
disconnected from the
TRANSFORMER.

Disconnect and label WIRES X1 — X4 and
WIRES H1 — H5 on TB2.
The TRANSFORMER is heavy. Make
sure that the TRANSFORMER is
supported before you remove the 4
SCREWS.

Remove the 4 SCREWS to remove the
TRANSFORMER from the TRANSFORMER
BOX.

Reverse the above procedure to install a new
TRANSFORMER. See the Installation
Instructions for the correct configuration of the
JUMPER WIRES.
