1. Spark plug gap

Standard spark plug:
D8EA/ NGK, X24ES-U/
NIPPONDENSO (OCEANIA)
DR8ES-L/NGK (SOUTH AFRICA)
Before installing any spark plug, measure the
electrode gap with a wire thickness gauge
and adjust to specifications.
Spark plug gap:
0.6 -0.7 mm (0.024 -0.028 in)
When installing the plug, always clean the
gasket seat surface and use a new gasket.
Wipe off any grime from the threads and tor-
que the spark plug properly.
Spark plug torque:
20 Nm (2.0m ·kg, 14ft-lb)
