Test the Ethernet Connection using the Ping Command (Optional)

To make sure that connectivity and settings are correct, use the ping command. The results of
the ping command will show if the Host (Equipment) is responding correctly.
1.
Open an MSDOS command prompt.

At the command prompt, enter ping xxx.xx.xxx.xxx
where xxx.xx.xxx.xxx is the IP Address of the equipment to be tested.

If the ping succeeds, the screen shows:
