C.4.1 Connect the Modem Ethernet Cable to a Network Link
Connect the Network Switch (Hub) to the Modem Ethernet port (J11) using standard RJ-45 to RJ-
45 10BaseT (CAT-5) Cables as shown:

Make sure the Computer TCP/IP is configured correctly. You can use this setup procedure as a
guide.
For Windows 2000 or XP Classic Only:
1. Click the Start button
2. Select Settings
3. Click the Control Panel icon
4. Double click the Network Connections icon
5. Select the Local Area Connection icon for the applicable Ethernet adapter. Usually, it is
the first Local Area Connection listed.
6. Double click the Local Area Connection
7. Click the Properties icon
