The markings on the shift forks
should be facing the right side of
engine and be in the following sequence: "R", "C", "L".

Rough motion
NOTE:
Apply engine oil to each gear and

bearing.
Before assembling the engine crankcase,
l
make sure the transmission is in neutral
and that the gears rotate freely.
