2.4 Adjusting the Blade Length

Be sure to correctly adjust the blade length. If the blade length is too long for the thickness of the medium being used,
you may damage the writing panel and/or the cutter blade.
Adjusting the Blade Length
(1) The blade length s adjusted by turnng the blade adjustment knob (blue, red, green or slver).
To extend the cutter blade, turn the knob n the A drecton.
To retract the cutter blade, turn the knob n the B drecton.
Use the scale on the plunger cap to determne how far to move the cutter blade.
When the knob s turned the dstance of one scale unt, the cutter blade moves 0.1 mm.
When t s gven one full turn, the cutter blade moves 0.5 mm.
(2) Algn the cutter blade tp wth the tp of the cutter pen, and then extend the cutter blade tp to sut the thckness of the
medum beng used.
Obtaining the Correct Blade Length
(1) The blade length (b) should be greater than the thckness of the medum (a), but should be less than the combned
thckness of the medum and ts backng sheet (c).
Backing sheet
If the thckness of the medum cannot be accurately determned, adjust the blade length by gradually ncreasng t
untl only traces of the cutter blade appear on the backng sheet when a cuttng test s executed.
