3.4 Adjusting the Pen Carriage Height
Adjust the heght of the pen carrage to sut the thckness of the medum.
•
Always make sure that the writing panel is in the horizontal position before making this adjustment.
•
When cutting a thick medium, place the medium on the writing panel before making this adjustment.
Initial adjustment of the pen carriage height
(1) Use the hexagon wrench to loosen the heght adjustment bolt.
(2) When the pen carrage can be moved freely up and down, nsert the heght adjustment plate (thck) under the pen
carrage. Adjust the heght of the pen carrage so that the pen carrage rests on top of the plate.
Insert the heght adjustment plate up to the poston where the poston adjustment hole can stll be seen.
(3) Use the hexagon wrench to tghten the heght adjustment bolt. Make sure that the pen carrage s parallel to the
wrtng panel.
(4) When the adjustment s complete, remove the heght adjustment plate (thck) from under the pen carrage.
Height adjustment during cutter pen installation
(1) Loosen the tool holder secton screw and mount the pen.
(2) Insert the heght adjustment plate (thn) under the pen and adjust the heght.
(3) After mountng the pen, tghten the screw.
(4) When the adjustment s complete, remove the adjustment plate (thn) from under the pen.
