4.11 Axis Adjustment
When AXIS has been selected for the regstraton mark mode, axs adjustment s performed manually. If 2, 3,
or 4 points are specified on the X and Y axes, adjustment is performed for the angle of the coordinate axes
(X-axs and Y-axs tlt) and the dstance (lne segment length).

Axis adjustment origin point: Ths s the center pont of axal eccentrcty. The X and Y axes are tlted from ths pont.
Point 1: Ths the reference pont used for axs adjustment. For 3-pont and 4-pont readng, poston ths pont at the
ntersecton of the X and Y axes of ponts 2 and 3.
Point 2: Usng pont 1 as a reference, poston ths pont on the X or Y axs.
Point 3: Usng pont 1 as a reference, poston ths pont on the X or Y axs.
Point 4: Poston ths pont dagonally opposte pont 1, at the ntersecton of the X and Y axes of ponts 2 and 3.
(1) Select AXIS as the regstraton mark mode, and then select the number of ponts for readng. (See Secton 4.2,
"Settng the Regstraton Mark Mode".)
(2) Wth the plotter n Ready status, press the [ORIGIN] key to dsplay the menu shown below.

settng) to the poston for settng pont 1, and then press the [ENTER] key. If 2-axs adjustment has been performed
prevously, the pen carrage wll move automatcally to the prevously set reference pont. In ths case, use the [

] keys to make any adjustments requred.
(3) The prompts for settng pont 2, pont 3 and pont 4 wll be dsplayed n successon. Make the settngs n the same
way as for pont 1.

(4) When all the ponts have been set, the followng menu for dstance adjustment between ponts 1 and 2 s dsplayed.

The display's first line (M) shows the distance between the first and second points as read by the plotter. Input the
actual dstance (the data dstance) n the second lne (S). Use the [
then press the [ENTER] key. The plotter returns to Ready status.
