6.1.7 Configuring Advanced WLAN Settings

Wireless LANs
To configure advanced RADIUS configuration and radio rate settings for a WLAN:
1. Select the
Configuration
2. Select
Wireless.
3. Select
Wireless LANs
4. Select the
Add
button to create an additional WLAN, or
5. Select Advanced.
6. Refer to the
Advanced RADIUS Configuration
Authorization.

Specify what should be included in the RADIUS NAS-Identifier field for authentication and
accounting packets. This is an optional setting and defaults are used if no values are
provided.
The profile database on the RADIUS server consists of user profiles for each connected
network access server (NAS) port. Each profile is matched to a user name representing a
physical port. When the access point authorizes users, it queries the user profile database
using a user name representative of the physical NAS port making the connection.
Select this radio button to enable the RADIUS protocol to support unsolicited messages
sent from the RADIUS server. These messages allow wireless network administrators to
issue change of authorization (CoA) messages, which affect session authorization, or
Disconnect Message (DM), which cause a session to terminate immediately. This feature
is disabled by default.
