23.2.10

Aircraft in ZoO diverging from the X100

Scenario:
An aircraft enters the ZoO at approximately the same height as the X100. The flight path of the
aircraft is diverging from the flight path of the X100.
1
Assess the situation. Take into account the location, course and speed of the X100 and of
the intruding aircraft.
2
Issue the GO HERE, RIGHT, LEFT or HOLD command to move the X100 to a safe posi-
tion.
3
Release the command when the aircraft has left the ZoO. The X100 will resume its map-
ping process.

23.2.11 Aircraft in ZoO intercepting the X100

Scenario:
An aircraft enters the ZoO at approximately the same height as the X100. The flight path of the
aircraft is intercepting the X100.
1
Assess the situation. Take into account the location, course and speed of the X100 and of
the intruding aircraft.
2
Issue the GO HERE, RIGHT, LEFT or HOME command to move the X100 to a safe posi-
tion.
3
Release the command when the aircraft has left the ZoO. The X100 will resume its map-
ping process.
4
If the situation is too critical (e.g. fast moving aircraft) issue the FTS command to immedi-
ately abort the flight and put the X100 in an orbit towards the terrain.
23.2.12

Aircraft in ZoO approaching the X100 head-on

Scenario:
An aircraft enters the ZoO at approximately the same height as the X100. The aircraft
approaches the X100 head-on.
1
Assess the situation. Take into account the location, course and speed of the X100 and of
the intruding aircraft.
2
Issue the RIGHT command to move the X100 to a safe position (well known rule in avia-
tion).
3
Release the RIGHT command when the aircraft has left the ZoO. The X100 will resume
its mapping process.
4
If the situation is too critical (e.g. fast moving aircraft) issue the FTS command to immedi-
ately abort the flight and put the X100 in an orbit towards the terrain.

23.2.13 Aircraft in ZoO intending to land

1.
A landing aircraft has at all times priority over the X100. Never assume that the aircraft
has noticed the X100. Take the necessary safety measures depending on the situation.
