17.8 Monitor the X100 autopilot initialization

REREQUISITES

GCS with flight plan exported to Horizon and uploaded to the X100
●
Wireless link between GCS and X100 (LINK field green)
During initialization, the X100 autopilot performs the following actions:
●
Acquire a new GPS lock.
●
Check the elevons and put them in zero position.
●
Initialize the internal sensors (airspeed sensor, accelerometers, altitude pressure sensor,
gyros, ...) of the eBox.
●
Download the flight plan to your GCS (Horizon).
You can monitor the status of the initialization in Horizon.

: Keep the X100 stable during initialization.

Monitor the status of the GPS field and check for any error messages in the warning mes-
sage field.

Once the X100 has acquired a GPS lock (GPS field green), you can monitor the status of
the READY field.

: The initialization of the X100 takes about 25 seconds. In its final steps the aircraft

will move its elevons up and down once.

Once the sensors are initialized (READY field green), the flight plan in Horizon is replaced
by a new one which is downloaded from the X100 autopilot. Make sure this is the correct
flight plan for the current flight.

ESULT
The X100 is fully initialized. Errors occurring during initialization are shown in the warning
message field. Possible errors are:

Accelerometer failed when moving the X100 during initialization
●
Fly file invalid command when no POWER CYCLE was performed after uploading the
flight plan
