23.2.6

GS_UP(S) command

The GS_UP(S) command only has an effect during the final leg of the landing circuit.
It causes the X100 to momentarily increase the throttle and the glide slope to gently rise (a few
meters). As a result the X100's aiming point is moved forward with 25 m.
The GS_UP(S) command can be issued several times in succession.
When?
The GS_UP(S) command can be used to avoid obstacles or to correct an undershoot.
23.2.7

Obstacles during takeoff

Scenario:
An obstacle (person, animal, ...) suddenly appears in the obstacle clearance zone during
takeoff.
1.
Issue the FTS command to force the X100 autopilot to immediately power down the motor
and return to the terrain. Remember that you need to confirm the FTS command.
23.2.8

Aircraft in ZoO not intending to cross the scan area

Scenario:
An approaching aircraft enters the ZoO but has no intention to cross the flight path of the X100.
1
Assess the situation. Take into account the takeoff location and the location, course and
speed of the X100 and the intruding aircraft.
2
Depending on the situation and its change, issue the HOLD, HOME, GO HERE, RIGHT
or LEFT command, to move the X100 to a safe position.
3
Release the command when the aircraft has left the ZoO. The X100 will resume its map-
ping process.
23.2.9

Aircraft in ZoO converging to the X100

Scenario:
An aircraft enters the ZoO at approximately the same height as the X100. The flight path of the
aircraft and the X100 are converging.
1
Assess the situation. Take into account the location, course and speed of the X100 and of
the intruding aircraft.
2
Issue the GO HERE command to move the X100 to a safe position.
3
Release the GO HERE command when the aircraft has left the ZoO. The X100 will
resume its mapping process.
4
If the situation is too critical (e.g. fast moving aircraft) issue the FTS command to immedi-
ately abort the flight and put the X100 in an orbit towards the terrain.
