Basic software procedures
Ê Select the Main menu.
Ê Under System Time and System Date specify the correct time and date.

By default, the system time set in the BIOS is RTC (Real Time Clock)
local time. If your IT infrastructure relies on universally accepted time
standards, set the System Time to UTC (Universal Time, Coordinated)
instead. Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) can be considered equivalent
to UTC.
Ê Save your changes and exit the BIOS.

Viewing and clearing the System Event Log (SEL)

5.2.7.1

Viewing the SEL

You can view the System Event Log (SEL) using the ServerView Operations
Manager or the ServerView BMC web frontend:
Viewing the SEL via SVOM
Ê In ServerView Operations Manager Single System View select Maintenance
from the Information / Operation menu.
Ê Under Maintenance select System Event Log.
Ê Select the message type(s) you want to display:
– Critical events
– Major events
– Minor events
– Informational events
Viewing the SEL using the BMC web frontend
Ê Enter the ServerView BMC web frontend.
Ê Select Server Health and choose the Event Log.
Ê The SEL is being displayed. In order to filter the list, select the check boxes
next to the desired event types and press Apply for the changes to take
effect.
