Basic software procedures
BMC recovery procedure

For the Japanese market, follow the instructions provided separately.
I
The BMC flash procedure will take some time. It can be up to 5 minutes
until a screen is shown on the screen.
Ê Prepare a bootable USB stick including the bootable BMC firmware update
image.
Ê Ensure that the server has been shut down and disconnected from the
mains as described in section
Ê Connect the USB stick to the USB port.

Ensure that only the USB device with the BMC firmware is connected
to the USB port. Remove all other USB devices temporarily.
Ê Ensure that BMC jumper is connected.
Ê The Power ON LED will be reverse in BMC Recovery Mode.
System off: PW LED green
System on: PW LED off
Blue ID LED is always lit.
Ê Press the Power On / Off button. The system starts the POST process.
Ê The system will detect the USB stick.
Ê The system boots from DOS and you have to change to that directory of the
USB stick in which the flash files are contained.
Ê Execute the DOS.BAT file.

CAUTION!
Do not interrupt the BMC upgrade process after it has started. If the
process is interrupted, the BMC BIOS may be permanently corrupted.

If the BMC does not work after flashing, disconnect the system from
the mains and reconnect it again.
Ê Shut down the server by pressing the power On / Off button.
Ê Disconnect the server from the mains to exit the BMC recovery state.
Ê Ensure that BMC jumper is disconnected.
