Static Test

Whenever you start a new batch or job, you should calibrate a test symbol that is rep-
resentative of the application's symbols and has a full set of bars so the scanner can
calculate the symbol's average frame size, number of fields, etc. as a reference.
After doing OMR setup, position a symbol in the center of the scan range at the correct
distance from the scanner. (Nominal mounting distance is 4 inches (10.6 cm) from the
front of the scanner.)
Testing from Calibration Menu
1. In the Calibrate area, click the

shown in the scan on the Calibration
menu.

bars in the calibration window, the first
of which (at top) is a green gate bar.

Note: If you switch symbols, always use the
Once button. If you use Static, the scanner
will attempt to re-calibrate the symbol based
on the current symbol.

Testing from Terminal View
1. After static calibration is complete, click on the
