To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, explosion, serious injury or death:
• Disconnect electric power to the washer before servicing.
• Never start the washer with any guards/panels removed.
• Whenever ground wires are removed during servicing, these ground wires must be
reconnected to ensure that the washer is properly grounded.

10. DRIVE MOTOR OVERLOAD PROTECTOR CYCLES REPEATEDLY

POSSIBLE CAUSE
Excessive belt tension.
Inoperative motor overload protector.
Bind in upper or lower bearing.
Bind in water pump.
Bind in transmission.
Brake pads binding.
Incorrect voltage.

11. OUTER TUB DOES NOT EMPTY

POSSIBLE CAUSE
Kinked drain hose.
Drain hose off drain hose support.
Obstruction in outer tub outlet hose.
Inoperative water pump.
Loosen or broken pump belt.

12. EXCESSIVE VIBRATION

POSSIBLE CAUSE
Unbalanced load in tub.
Broken, disconnected or centering spring(s) out of
adjustment.
Washer is not properly leveled.
Washer is installed on weak, "spongy", carpeted or
built-up floor.
Incorrect or loose cabinet screws.
Base damaged (washer was dropped).
Balance ring not positioned properly on
transmission assembly.

WARNING
TO CORRECT
• Adjust belts.
• Replace motor.
• Replace bearing.
• Replace pump.
• Repair or replace transmission.
• Free binding pads, or replace pads.
• Contact local utility company or have a qualified
electrician check power supply.
TO CORRECT
• Straighten hose.
• Remove washer front panel and install drain hose on hose
support.
• Remove obstruction.
• Replace pump.
• Adjust or replace belt.
TO CORRECT
• Stop washer, redistribute load, then restart washer.
• Connect or replace centering spring(s). Spring should be
located in center notch. Refer to Figure 49.
• Adjust leveling legs.
• Relocate washer, or support floor to eliminate weak or
"spongy" condition.
• Replace with correct screws or tighten.
• Replace base assembly.
• Refer to Paragraph 45.
