Section 6 Adjustments
To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, explosion, serious injury or death:
• Disconnect electric power to the washer before servicing.
• Never start the washer with any guards/panels removed.
• Whenever ground wires are removed during servicing, these ground wires must be
reconnected to ensure that the washer is properly grounded.

52. OUT-OF-BALANCE SWITCH TRIGGER

NOTE: The trigger is centered on the mounting
screw at the factory. Refer to Figure 48.
a. Remove front panel. Refer to Paragraph 27.
b. Raise or remove cabinet top. Refer to
Paragraph 35.
c. Loosen screw holding trigger to tub cover.
Refer to Figure 48. Move trigger to the right
(increases sensitivity) or to the left (decreases
sensitivity).
IMPORTANT: If the switch lever repeatedly trips
the out-of-balance switch, check the centering of the
agitator within the loading door opening. Centering
springs may have to be positioned in the upper or
lower notch of the lower edge of the outer tub to
center the agitator within the door opening. The
springs are positioned in the center notch at the
factory. Refer to Figure 49.
Example: If the springs are placed in the upper notch
then the trigger must be moved to the extreme right for
proper trigger operation.
