Symptoms
Paper is often
Is paper loaded properly in the tray?

Is the paper tray set properly?
Is the paper damp?
Is the paper curled?
Are there any torn pieces of paper still
remaining inside the machine or is
there a foreign object in the machine?
Is out-of-spec paper loaded in the
tray?
Is paper loaded in the tray past its
maximum fill line?
Is the paper guide set correctly?
Documents are not
Are the documents too small?
fed into the DADF.
Check
Load paper correctly.

Firmly push in the tray as far as possible
to set it properly.

Replace with paper from a new ream.

Either turn the paper so that the curl is
facing down in the tray, or replace with
paper from a new ream.

Open the door of the machine or slide
out the tray to remove the torn paper or
the foreign object.

specifications.

exceed the maximum fill line.

The minimum size of the document that
