4.5.4 Using the Fiber Channel Controller (PG-FC202)

To use the Fiber Channel Controller (PG-FC202), the driver needs to be updated after installing the OS.
You can use the driver supplied with the Fiber Channel Controller or download it from the Fujitsu
PRIMERGY website (http://primergy.fujitsu.com).

4.5.5 Turning the Power On via a LAN

You can turn the power on the server from a client (via a LAN) by utilizing the Wakeup on LAN (WOL)
function.
Be sure to install ServerView to control the power supply via a LAN.
When the power cable is disconnected from the server or the server is powered off due to power
interruption, restart the server. If not, the WOL function will be disabled.
The upper I/O riser card LAN port does not support the WOL function. When you use the WOL
function, use the onboard LAN port or the lower I/O riser card LAN port.
BIOS Setup Utility setting
To manage the power supply via a LAN, start up BIOS Setup Utility, select the [Power] menu, and then
set [LAN] to "Enabled". The "Enabled" is set as the initial setting.
The setting on the OS takes priority in the setting of WOL enabled or disabled. For Windows, use
®
"Intel
PROSet".
