Install expansion cards: from bottom to top in the figure, PCI slot 1 through 7.
i Memory board slot A and B
The slots are for memory board A and B. Memory board A and B are installed as a standard
feature.
Memory modules are in pairs on this server. Install each of the pair in the same numbered
memory slot of the memory board A and B respectively.

Install CPUs. Two CPUs are installed as a standard feature. Up to four CPUs can be installed.

a Memory slot LED
Each LED position corresponds to that of the memory slot. The LEDs are turned off when
memory modules are functioning properly or no memory modules are installed. Amber LED
indicates an error for the corresponding memory module.
b Memory slot
Install memory modules. The slots are arranged in the order of memory slot 1 though 8 from the
connector side. A memory module is installed in memory slot 1 and 2 each as a standard feature.
In other slots, dummy memory modules are installed.
