Accept on Busy

The option is provided on PRI (ISDN) to accept or reject calls. When the default setting Accept On Busy is set
then calls will be presented to busy extensions. The extensions will be presented with a call waiting indication. If
the user prefers that callers directed to individual extensions (using DID or routing on Caller ID) will receive
busy tone when the extension is busy then the Reject on Busy setting should be set. See the programming on
page 109.
Strip National 1 or International 011.
On some ISDN circuits, the network will reject International calls if the International code 011 is sent in the
Setup message. Similarly, some Networks will reject national calls if the national prefix 1 is sent in the call setup
message. The programming options Strip National 1 and Strip Int'l 011 are provided. When activated the users
dial the numbers as normal using the national prefix 1 and the international prefix 011. However, the prefixes are
not sent in the setup message. See the programming on page 109.

ISDN (PRI) Called Party Number - Call Types

The called party number is the number dialed by the EncoreCX user when they are making a call.
The Call type is sent in the setup message. The call type is determined according to the following table: -

a. Maintenance codes X11 codes (211, 311, 411, 511, 611, 711, 811 and 911). All Maintenance codes are local calls and have C1 for call
type.
b. 911 with calling party number enabled. The Setup message contains the Caller Number, Caller Sub Addr and Called Number. The Called
Number will contain the 911 with the Call type of C1.
c. Area Codes (AAA) Long Distance calls with leading and non-leading [1] AAA- NNN-XXXX. All Long Distance have A1 for the call
type.
d. Exchange codes (NNN) Local calls with or without the Area Code preceding the NNN code. [AAA] NNN-XXXX. All 7 or 10 digit local
calls have C1 call type.
e. CIC codes (Carrier Identification Codes) or Pick Codes (1010XXX) preceding the dialed number. The Transit network SIL should be
provided in the setup message with the carrier code. The first three digits are removed (101) are removed and the last 4 digits are sent in
the transit network SIL (0288) Call Type A1 proceeds both the Called Number and Transit Number in the setup message for Long
Distance. For International calls using CIC, the CIC is preceded by A1 and the Called Number has 91. For Local Calls the Called Number
is preceded with C1 and Transit Number is A1.
f. 800 numbers. 800, 888, 877 etc. Call type of C1 or non-leading 1 and A1 for leading 1.
g. 900 numbers. Call type of C1 or non-leading 1 and A1 for leading 1.
h. International calls (011). All International calls with or without the 011 have a call type of 91.
i. Vertical Service Codes. *XX or #XX dialing codes. *67 block caller ID, *82 unblock, *69 return call etc. #72, #73 etc. Call type is C1.
j. International Operator. 01, 011, the call type is 91. Operator 0 is A1 call type.
k. Carrier Operator 00 is A1 call type.
l. Calling Cards. Caller Cards normally use an 800 number to dial a call so the 800 rules would apply.
m. 500 Numbers. 500 NXX Call type of C1 or non-leading 1 and A1 for leading 1.
n. 555 Numbers. 555 NXX. Call type of C1 for non-leading 1 and A1 for leading 1.
