This example describes how to shut down the MSDP peer at IP
address 192.168.7.20.
ZXR10(config)#ip msdp shutdown 101.1.1.1
ip msdp peer

ip msdp ttl-threshold

Use this command to limit which multicast data packets are sent
in Source-Active (SA) messages to a Multicast Source Discovery
Protocol (MSDP) peer. Remove this limit with the no form of this
command.
Global configuration
ip msdp ttl-threshold <peer-address><ttl-value>
no ip msdp ttl-threshold <peer-address>

<ttl-value>
This command limits which multicast data packets are sent in data-
encapsulated SA messages. Only multicast packets with an IP
header TTL greater than or equal to the configured <ttl-value>
value are sent to the MSDP peer specified by the IP address.
This example describes how to configures a TTL threshold of 8 hops
on the MSDP peer at IP address 101.1.1.1.
ZXR10(config)#ip msdp ttl-threshold 101.1.1.1 8
ip msdp peer

show ip msdp count

Use this command to display the number of sources and groups
originated in Multicast Source Discovery Protocol (MSDP) Source-
Active (SA) messages and the number of SA messages from an
MSDP peer in the SA cache.

show ip msdp count

The following is sample output of the show ip msdp count com-
mand:
ZXB10#show ip msdp count
